Seth Klarman is one of the most successful investors alive today and author of one of our favourite investing books, Margin of Safety. In his latest investor letter he has pulled no punches as he criticised many of his fellow investors and the U.S. Federal Reserve.
This article from the Financial Times summarises the key takeaways from Klarman’s letter. As well as sharing his thoughts on the past few years, he also mentions that after beating the S&P 500 last year with several hedged positions, he has been buying again.
To see what he has been buying, we had a look at his latest holdings on TIKR (sign up at TIKR.com/equitymates). Some of the names he has been buying include: Warner Bros Discovery (WBD), Gabriel Resources (GBU), Gray Television (GTN) and SS&C Technologies Holdings (SSNC).
A few names we’re going to add to the watchlist and do some more research on.
