Felicity and Candice are joined by Nutri-Grain IronMan series champion, Kendrick Louis. He chased the dream for ten years, and since then, the Ironman champion has won multiple Australian Surf Lifesaving titles, Represented Australia on the world stage as part of the Australian Lifesaving Team, as well as being named Surf Life Saving Australian Athlete of the Year in 2018. Away from the sport, Kendrick is a family man and an entrepreneur having Founded his own media agency originally with his brother in 2018, called Louis Media. In this conversation he talks about how his training mindset informs his attitude to business, his personal mission to dream big and chasing that unashamedly, and his thoughts on how professional athletes can think about life after sport.

In this episode Bryce and Alec chat through and answer many questions from beginning investors from the Equity Mates Community, Alana and Maddy. After the Buffett letters, the next most respected in the industry could be Nick Sleep and Qais Zakaria and their Nomad Partnership. The Nomad Partnership operated from 2001 to 2014. In that time the partnership returned 921%, while the MSCI World Index returned 117%. Basically (before fees) they 10x investors money. They then decided to hang it up! We find most investors haven’t heard of them or read their letters, so we thought we’d share a little bit about them and our favourite quotes from their letters in this episode.

Net worth is a concept that is increasingly being shared on social media to portray someone’s total wealth. But what is net worth and is it the best figure to be looking at? Today we chat with the incredible Aleks Nikolic, the face behind Broke Girl Wealth, about why she believes sharing net worth on social media is a powerful conversation starter. We also host the very first Controversy Corner and ask about some of the biggest finance controversies, including what do we think of BNPL or are NFTs really worth it, and debate our thoughts.

We've gone out to the Equity Mates community and will answer the most common new investor questions in this week's episode. It’s the final episode of our summer series, and we’re rounding out the series with a comprehensive list of the best investing resources that Bryce, Alec and our community members have used in their investing journeys. Over the past five weeks, we’ve heard from over a dozen community members about their investing journeys and the most important things they’ve learnt along the way. This week, in our penultimate episode of the summer series, we’re hearing from all these guests again as they tell Bryce and Alec about the biggest myths or barriers they’ve faced with investing.

It’s easy to forget that we all started with that one first investment. We welcome back Natasha Etschmann (@tashinvests) to the show, as well as Maddie, Dylan and James, who share some great stories with Bryce and Alec.

We’ve hit the halfway point of our summer series as we take on the New Year.
