I am just starting off as an investor and have listened to quite a lot of your podcasts including the Getting Started podcast.
I am interested in Coles Group but unsure how to identify whether it will be a good investment as it went through a demerger with Wesfarmers in 2018 however it has finalised many contracts to improve the supply chain and is consistently implementing new strategies to improve future growth.
From my analysis there is a negative percentage change from year to year for revenue, EBITDA, net income and Earnings per Share. However, if I am calculating in accurately, its ROE and ROCE looks attractive in the 32-43%.
Could you please help with valuing the company and how to take into account its demerger? and also indicate whether I am looking at the right figures?
Thanks! and enjoying listening to the podcast!
